I am a textile artist and designer, living in Stockholm, that operates both nationally and internationally. The focus are: pattern, texture and colors. I have the few years received considerable attention for my textile works.
The focus of the artistic work is to extract and produce surface textures and patterns that in two or three dimensional fabrics reflect a process, a mathematical thought or sometimes a game. Unique for my work is the underlying social codes that his weaving, textures and patterns represent, identify and problematize. In the boundary between creating high quality products for everyday use and textile works for exhibitions the focus is to continuously deepen and discuss what the pattern and structure of a textile object can represent and tell about its context. Every encounter between two threads or system of threads in the fabric is unique and has a meaningful sense. They do not exist only to bind the fabric, but because each thread and system of threads has a purpose and integrate into the system.
Unique for my work is the use of physicality and movement patterns of the human body. I am playing Racketlon (a multidisciplinary sport which includes Badminton, Table tennis, Tennis and Squash)
The relatives Ellen Key and Isaac Grunewald has inspired me. Ellen Key’s slogan ”beauty for all” And Isaac Grünewald impressive color combinations is something I like to get inspired from in my textile works.
